You know what? I always look forward to these Friday posts the most. I think despite what difficulties we are all going through that it is beneficial to take some time throughout the week to find a way to simply SMILE. As I keep saying: Smile! It will be passed on!
I really hope that whatever hurdles you've had to jump, or mountains you've had to climb, on days like Fabulous Friday, you take a look back and recongize all that you have accomplished! To everyone I write to, everyone I talk to - and even to those I have not met- today is the day to congratulate yourself on a week well done! You've made it through! You jumped as many hurdles that you could. You took steps toward your goals, made progress and achieved something great. I applaud you for that. Please don't forget: you are amazing at what you do, and have accomplished more than you may realize. So, give yourself that well-deserved pat on the back. Reward yourself with a treat. Don't be afraid to hug yourself. Go ahead - dance while sitting at your desk, or dance privately in your room. Celebrate your uniqueness and be proud of youself. Fabulous Friday is the day to do just that - and not care what others think! This is the day to wipe the slate clean. Forget the negatives of the week, and fully embrace the positives. Whatever you choose to do today, remember that today is about you. I truly hope you have a Fabulous Friday - and don't forget to pass that joy on to those in your circle. Celebrate yourself in style!
After Fabulous Friday - we head into the Wonderful Weekend. And, what a great weekend it will be! It's the perfect chance to watch the flowers bloom, visit local nurseries and plan out your garden for the year. Personally, I'm still searching for a nursery in the Greater Toronto Area that sells purple roses. if you're in my area and know of any local nurseries, please drop their names in a comment below. Also, take some time this weekend to celebrate with the people closest to you - family, friends or neighbours. Remind them how important they are to your life. Create magical moments today that will become epic memories tomorrow. Please have youselves a truly Wonderful Weekend!
This week's Go Home Song is one I'm sure everyone knows. The only question was: which version should I choose? As I get older, I have found a new favourite. Originally written in 1939 and made famous by actress Judy Garland, this classic still touches hearts today. And my favourite version? It's by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole - a gentle ukulele-filled rendition. It's peaceful, soulful, and the perfect way to wind down the week.
